1. About LabSift
These Terms apply to LabSift, a browser-based prototype provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and currently in private testing. LabSift extracts candidate laboratory results from PDFs and images so qualified healthcare professionals can review selected values and prepare them for clinical documentation.
2. Clinical use
LabSift supports transcription and formatting. It does not interpret laboratory results, diagnose patients, recommend treatment, provide medical advice or replace professional judgement. The original laboratory reports remain the clinical source. Check every selected test name, value and reported unit against the original reports before recording it.
3. Who may use it
LabSift is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and authorised staff. You are responsible for having permission to process each report and for following applicable professional, confidentiality and information-security requirements.
4. Privacy and your device
Patient reports are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. You remain responsible for the security of the device, clipboard and patient record into which verified results are pasted. Website and hosting information is explained in the Privacy Notice.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use LabSift unlawfully, process reports without authority, interfere with the service, introduce malicious material or present its output as clinical interpretation. Do not record output that you cannot verify against the original reports.
6. Availability and accuracy
PDF extraction and OCR can omit or misread information, and some documents may not be supported. LabSift is a prototype in private testing and may change or be temporarily unavailable. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Ownership
LabSift’s original software, branding and content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by [GOVERNING LAW / CANTON], subject to any mandatory protections that apply. The competent courts are those at [JURISDICTION] where legally permitted.
